Two Boeing airplanes have fallen out of the air and crashed in the past six months. On the surface, this is a technical failure. But the real story is about a company's desire to beat their rival.

Hi All, Or build new wings, with the pylons on the top of the wing, and behind the leading edge. That would make it nice for military use on grass runways, or as a seaplane. Thanks.

Hi All, Question is, what do we do now? I would rip off those big engines, replace with standard engines, start with clean sheet of paper and design new plane for big engines. Thanks for your time, take care.

I got a few ideas for fixes
1.update the software with the new feature called "takeoff mode". enabled by the pilot before takeoff and automatically turn off after a certain altitude.
2.require the new pilots to use a simulator for training regardless of whatever the pilot ever flew the 737ng or not

Airbus has similar system on many of their planes. Some times it failed but luckily their planes were in high altitude so nothing happened. But no one talks about it...

Boeing must be punished. Severely punished. It should sting them so much (financially, morally, etc...) that they won't forget it ever in future. Terminate the concerned from it's chief to the entire team responsible. This is cold-blooded murder. Had American citizens died in American 737Max planes, their punishment would have been more severe. Shame. Victims families must get a few billion $.

So when the plane under hard thrust it's being bent like a banana?....but it's OK because when it's cruising the plane straightens out again.
And the air-frame was designed in the 1960s
Go and get a piece wire and bend it in your hands....and then straighten it out again....repeat ...and after some time the single piece of wire turns into two pieces of wire!

Some people at boeing need to go to jail for the rest of their lives. No amount of money will undo the harm they have done. They need to suffer and have plenty of time to consider what they did to all those trusting souls.

Actually pilots weren't skilled enough to hold this problem, in case of trouble you should remove the autopilote and land the plane by yourself, if a pilot can't do that he should be fired.

No amount of software fixes and pilot training can change the obvious and critical design flaw with respect to the engine mounting locations, for the altered centre of gravity affect plane takeoffs and landings.

Boeings present problems started when they decided to stop developing radical new products from scratch in the late 80s
now they sit on airplane bodies frames and other parts that was designed in the 50s
its a huge developement lag that they will never compensate
that is the reason all new models are a patchwork with more and more instabilities built in to them
in the future we will see planes fall from the skies like it is raining due to this

This could finish Boeing. When (if) they ever get their software bodge to work well enough to re-certify the 737MAX, who would actually consider flying in one? Not me, & probably not anyone. Who do they then sell a few hundred new scrap airliners to? While they are sued by a couple of dozen airlines.

The problem isn't that the 737 had technical issues, this is normal. The problem lies in the fact that Boeing and the FAA KNEW about the PROBLEMS and did NOTHING. Negligence at it's finest!

The real reason is, A lion air flew the plane 4 flights in 3 days with the aircraft in a unairworthy condition with a known flight control issue, B the Ethiopian flight crashed due to a bird strike damaging the captains aia vane, an unqualified FO, and a flight crew who did not follow the procedure, by throttling the engines back, and a reliance on the auto pilot on take off!

TO EVERYONE! Write letters to your airlines and tell them NOT to purchase any 737 MAX planes if they want your business. Also check your flight tickets, the type of plane you will fly on is listed. Keep your families safe! DO NOT reward Boeing's utter greed and indifference for the deaths of 300+ innocent people, by supporting their defective, unsafe product. Boeing needs to: 1. Fire the CEO. 2. publicly apologize for trying to blame the death of civilians on dead pilots instead of taking the responsibility themselves. 3. Start from the ground up with the new design, not try to shoehorn a 60 year old design, just because Airbus is beating the brakes off of you with safer, better airplanes. 4. Learn to put passenger safety before greed and profits. And then after 5 years of problem free flying, I will consider flying Boeing again. Until then, IF IT'S BOEING, I AIN"T GOING! End of story!

Erich Hartmann couldn't fly a Boeing 737 Max plane. Somehow manufacturer's think all their products are operated by 5-year-olds. Don't want to wear your car seat belt? The chime and dash light will annoy the heck out of you IMPAIRING driving. Want your front passenger to program your car's Navigation while YOU are driving? Sorry the Nanny said NO. Want to raise the volume or screen brightness on your cellphone? Let's add a warning EVERY time. Wan't to disengage the autopilot and fly the Boeing 737 Max? Sorry the MCAS Nanny said NO.
The "Nanny Philosophy" used to just be annoying but now it causes commercial aircraft with 150 people to plunge straight to the ground.
